Dear prospective patients, established patients, peers, co-workers, family members and friends,
I would like to humbly introduce myself as doctor who is excited to make people better! I am a
Doctor of Chiropractic in the city of Toronto and I have been practicing since 2010. After obtaining my bachelor’s of Applied Chemistry and Biology degree at Toronto’s Ryerson University, I joined New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) to obtain my doctorate degree. While studying there, I managed to co-publish research, teach anatomy, and represent the institution at various chiropractic convention events. I am part of the “Phi Chi Omega” society of academic excellence at NYCC and the recipient of the Distinguished Service, Clarence M. Flick, and Student of the Year awards.
As an associate of the Naturopathic Wellness and Allergy Clinic my job is to minimize the biomechanical faults and relieve pain of patients in need of help due to injury or repetitive strain. I assist your body’s natural ability of healing itself and help identify your body’s biomechanical faults that lead to the complaint in the first place. I then help train you to avoid or cope with the strain brought on by daily actions that have been causing you harm for, sometimes, many years. I treat the body as a whole, since, I sometimes see that the nature of the body is like a chain; any link that is weak makes the entire chain only as strong as that single link.
In May 2012, I obtained certification in foot reflexology. This ancient therapy uses pressure points on the soles of your feet to tap into body parts and organs. Sometimes certain body parts or organs can be under active and this imbalance can cause pain or dysfunction. Pressing into these pressure points stimulate the corresponding part of the body. This reintroduces balance for proper body function and relieves stress.
In September 2012, I obtained my diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. This hands-on therapy is a mix between massage therapy and chiropractic. It relaxes muscle and restores movement of the joints in the body. It is a gentle therapy that uses joint mobilization and incorporates muscle therapy that can range from percussive to medium depth massage.
I use the following techniques to make people better daily: Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy (diversified), Myofascialrelease, Therapeutic ultrasound, Reflexology, Instrument assisted adjusting, Drop table, Ischemic compression, Manual traction/distraction, Interferential current, Strength training, Post Isometric Relaxation, Post-facilitated Stretch, Postural analysis, Gait analysis, and Workplace ergonomics analysis, just to name a few.
I also offer the convenience of custom fitting your orthotics, compression hosiery, backrests, and pillows. I have treated patients with complex conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Allergies, Asthma, and Sports injuries to the point of great relief. I can also modify treatments to meet specific needs, for example, for the elderly, infants & children, and pregnant women. Usually though, I treat patients with strains, sprains, joint pain, headaches, low back pain, upper back pain, neck pain, or sciatica, or patients with no present complaints but who would like to keep their bodies healthy.
I am a registered provider for both Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle
Accident claims and I take part in continuing education regularly. I am also part of the following associations: Canadian Chiropractic Association, Ontario Chiropractic Association, Chiropractic College of Ontario, and the Canadian Chiropractic Protective Association. Please visit the Ontario Chiropractic Association to learn more about Doctors of Chiropractic in Ontario.
In the future, I plan to do more research and obtain certification in Acupuncture to better suit your needs. I am also, fluent in Italian and enjoy keeping up to date in the world of Chiropractic research.
In closing, I hope I gave you a clear picture of who I am and what I stand for. As for yourselves, I look forward to meeting you/ seeing you again and I wish you, and your families, good health, now, and in the years to come!
